Alex's 5 sentence challenge
With a smile on his face the mechanic oiled the train engine. In single file the family went to board the train to begin their journey. The pigeons are pecking the ground on the platform for any crumbs of food. The porter pushed his heavily loaded trolley along the platform. The children wait patiently for their tickets from the ticket stand for the train which will take them on their holidays.

Brilliant sentences Alex. I really like how you started your first sentence with 'With a smile on his face...' and how you have used some adverbs- well done!
